facebook shuts down same sex kiss in event planned to take place in front of pope

Facebook has self-censored once again by shutting down a same-sex kiss-in event, which was planned for Pope Benedict XVI's arrival in Spain next month.

The page promoting the same-sex kissing Flashmob had gotten 12,000 users confirmed for the event, which was scheduled to take place in Cathedral Square in Barcelona on November 7.

No word yet on how this will affect the actual event.

You can say what you want about the event's content, but the fact is this marks another case of censorship by Facebook, and it's directed at the gay community, which is NOT cool.

What do U think about Facebook's censorship of this event?

Taylor Momsen Jessica Szohr Will NOT Be Returning To Gossip Girl Next Season

The next season of Gossip Girl is going to be two Gossip girls lighter because today we are learning that actresses Taylor Momsen and Jessica Szohr have been dropped as series regulars. Taylor and Jessica‘s characters — Jenny Humphrey and Vanessa Abrams, respectively — have pretty much been M.I.A. all season long this year so [...]

On tonight’s episode of Glee, Rachel Berry (Lea Michele) duets with Jesse St. James (Jonathan Groff) on Adele‘s stunningly beautiful song Rolling in the Deep. We are still a few hours away from tonight’s ep of Glee … but if you just can’t wait any longer, you can check out video from tonight’s ep of Rachel and Jesse‘s duet below.

This is truly one of my fave new songs. I’m not surprised at all that Glee chose it for tonight’s ep … and I am really loving this version of the song. Glee gets some of the songs they cover very right … this is case in point. What do you think of this Glee version of Rolling in the Deep?

Eminem Commits Suicide In Violent New Video

We don't know how we feel about this Eminem's new video.
While it's artistically beautiful (the video is directed by Joseph Kahn), it's also pretty violent. Em hasn't been afraid of showing violence and suicide in his past videos, but we're not sure if this is the best message he wants out there.
In the video, [...]

A reconciliation may be in the works for Avril Lavigne and her ex-hubby, Deryck Whibley. The pair were spotted flirting and hugging on vacation this past week in France and got particularly handsy during a boat trip on the French Riviera. Alex McCord Cindy Barshop Leaving RHONY?

Alex McCord and newcomer Cindy Barshop are reportedly leaving the Real Housewives Of New York, and this will be their last season. Frankly, I cant say I am surprised. Cindy just never seemed to fit in, and really doesn’t mix well with this group of women. Alex, who used to be one of my favorites, has changed over the seasons and is now one of the most irritating women on the show. I am tired of looking at her mug and watching her and Simon’s creepy romantic scenes together. Gag. Pour in brain bleach. The report came out yesterday claiming that viewers have had a negative response to Alex and her fame whore husband, Simon van Kempen. Those two will do anything to climb the social ladder. And Cindy is just too boring to replace fan favorite, Bethenny. I watch the show regularly, and have to agree. I actually like Cindy, but she just inst right for the show. However, the New York Daily News spoke to Alex and she said it is all BS. She said, “If I had a dollar every time an ‘inside source’ i.e. a cast member, leaked a ‘story’ that I was out of RHONY, [...]

Entertainment at The BankAtlantic Center

"Launching A Dream" is an excerpt from "33 Days: Touring In A Van. Sleeping on Floors. Chasing A Dream" available at amazon, barnes and noble and lulu.com: A description of the book: This harrowing, deeply personal, coming of age, on the road, true story follows critically acclaimed 80s indie rock band Divine Weeks' first tour in the summer of 1987. The first time out on their own, all they had was their music and each other's friendship. The road was filled with yuppies, brothels, riots, DJs with no pants, and spiked drinks. And one night in Edmonton, their little tour became something more profound, and they were never the same again. They set out on the road to discovery to drink in all they could and maybe sell a few records. They grew up instead.

Katerina Graham Renaissance Woman

Mastering is the final, post-production step that is performed after mixing and before CD duplication and distribution. Many think of it as the way to increase the "loudness" of your music to compete with other songs and albums out in the world, but there is much more to it than that. Mastering is a process of adding compression, EQ, stereo widening, leveling, track sequencing, song gaps, and much more.

Hundreds of years of emigration meant that Irish people got used to being separated from their families and their loved ones. Britney To Debut New Single In A Big Way

When we were kids, our parents made it a point to expose us to a lot of things. They made us sing, dance ballet, act, play instruments, join art classes and many more. Our exposure to arts and entertainment deviate our attention from the structured lessons we learn in class. Aside from developing our cognitive abilities, it is important that we work in honing our creativity and motor skills. Being a well rounded person is a good thing. It allows us to adjust to our environment and relate well to our peers.

The Art of Music

Playing music when you are bored is a great way to entertain yourself, if you are in the mood you can turn the volume up and dance your heart away! That's the good thing about music; it stimulates your brain and intensifies your emotions in different ways. The more you listen to it, the more you get inclined to what it really is. All the cultures from different places have dictated that music is a big part of our lives and through the years, no one had said NO to it. Instead, it has been imbibed in every aspect of our lives.
